'' NOTHING EVER BECOMES REAL TILL IT IS EXPERIENCED''

The places where currently one of the famous markets of Delhi is located was intially created as a resisdential area but since with the  existence of Delhi University in its nearby vicnity and non-existence of any other market close by this area developed more as a commercial hub. The market has many of the branded showrooms. The lower floor in the entire market has numerous retail stores and various restaurants whereas the upper floor is occupied as the residential houses majorly the shop owners.

'you lost sight of things..and when you travel, everything balances out'
Traveling , it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.

I have been to the north campus many times as I live near the area but before I haven't seen the area with the point of view of an observer. Earlier I went there to shop and to enjoy with my friends who are studying in Delhi university but after this project I got to know a lot about that area.

First, I neglected the hardships faced by the street vendors, their lifestyles , their source of living but now I realized the things they face everyday like no fixed income. After visiting the street shops in Kamla nagar, Bunglow road , I want to do something for them to improve their living and this module is giving me that opportunity to look deeper into their life and to design a solution to help them. This is just the beginning....more to go !

With words people can tell you how, what and why, but going to this place was experiencing the original street taste of Delhi...

Now going forward with the research some new guidelines are here - each person has to choose a different unit and continue the research.

As to go on with the original street taste of that area I thought to go forward with the refreshing panwala's, as every person need some refreshments after doing some thing and the panwala's do the same. Here are some different panwala's in kamla nagar.

 ''AN INVESTMENT IN KNOWLEDGE
    ALWAYS PAYS THE BEST INTEREST.''

EXCITEMENT, TRAVELING, CLUSTERS, GROUPS, this is how we started our module 5. Stepping out from the little world of Delhi I stepped in the NORTH CAMPUS, saw the culture, the student life. Being  the  hub of colleges  I realized how difficult it is from rest of the Delhi. All along the streets i saw a young crowd just wandering around enjoying themselves to the core. I  went to certain areas in the north campus like, Kamla Nagar, Hudson lane, Civil Lines, and  Ghanta Ghar. However, i was  able to cover a lot about Kamla Nagar that is, the street shops and street food.
                                               '' CHUSKI WALA ''
                                         '' ACCESSORIES''
                                       '' STREET FOOD SHOP''

First visit to North Campus

North campus the place for the Delhi University students, the area mostly covered with colleges and hostels for students accommodation. As soon as i entered the area through Vishwavidyalaya metro station,
I saw a very Eco-friendly idea on the metro station that pleased me. The idea was of the rental cycles available on the metro station at Rs.70 for the day and that makes the whole idea pleasing as there will be less pollution and healthy as well.
I got out of the metro station and saw the students present over there and the street vendors. Some students were enjoying the street food and some were buying stuff from the local vendors like stationery and accessories.

I further explored and took the way of Chattra Marg and walked through it. I saw may colleges like Sri ram College of Commerce, Miranda House, Lady Sri Ram, Khalsa College and Hindu colege.

The experience of the college was amazing as i talked to many new people from totally different fields and got to know about their college life stye as it was totally different from mine being a designer college..

I further went to Kamla nagar and saw an amazing thing there that being a compact mall constructed on the CHAURAHA of the Bunglow road and when contacted to the people marketing there about it they said that because of the mall there is less traffic in the area now as the mall provided parking and the people now park there cars over there thus lessening the traffic.

After Kamla Nagar I visited Hudson Lane and saw the area there it was posh with many restaurants and many jamming points for the college students like The Big Yellow Door, Taxi, The Wood Box and many more.

Then I was totally exhausted and went to the nearest metro station then that was GTB Nagar and got in the metro to return back to home.
The experience there was amazing and I got to know about many things but this is just the beggining many more visits to the North campus in pending as i need to explore more about this place and get in deep to get my project collected well.

INTRODUCTION

A group of five students was made and were given an area 'North Campus' to research on cluster of people doing the same work, so we chose 'Chuski Wala's' in Kamla Nagar.

We observed its surroundings, their were 3 - 4 more chuski wala's, a puchka stall, pan wala, mouth refresher's stall (churan wala), some showrooms and a moving stall of sugarcane's juice.

The chuski stall was small but very well organised. A chuski cost Rs.30/- each he had several flavours and also he sells 'Banta' (soda) of Rs.20/- each, and water bottle on M.R.P with it. The stall owner severed the chuski in a plastic glass, he grinds the ice cube with the help of a simple blade.
